Meet "Mr. Jay"

Most people know me simply as Mr. Jay. Years ago, my students gave me that nickname and over time it became much more than a classroom name—it became part of who I am. Today, whether I'm teaching students in the classroom or helping clients navigate one of life's biggest financial decisions, I'm proud to be known as Mr. Jay. The name represents the qualities I strive to bring to every client relationship: patience, integrity, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to helping people succeed.

Real estate has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I worked alongside my family managing commercial and multifamily properties, developing a deep appreciation for real estate from an early age.

As a real estate investor since 2004, I've personally owned and managed investment properties in Virginia, New York, and Florida. That firsthand experience gives me practical insight into buying, selling, investing, and property management that goes far beyond textbooks.

Today, I specialize in residential real estate, helping buyers, sellers, and investors make informed, confident decisions. Whether you're purchasing your first home, upgrading, downsizing, or searching for an investment property, my goal is to educate you throughout the process so you can move forward with confidence.

Before becoming a Realtor, I taught Business Administration at the University of Mary Washington and mathematics for Fairfax County Public Schools at Langley High School. I also founded GreatTutoring.com and MySATClass.com, where I've spent more than two decades helping students achieve their academic goals. That same educator's mindset guides my real estate practice: I believe that well-informed clients make the best decisions.

Outside of work, I'm the proud father of two sons and two daughters. I enjoy fishing, sailing, and traveling, and one of the most rewarding experiences of my life was spending a year in India as a Rotary International Youth Exchange student.
